They can get stuck in your throat
And slowly dissolve
With a burning feeling that can be unbearable

Then once they start working
They can make you very tired
And not want to do anything you planned to do

But we take them anyway
Because the pain we feel when we don’t take them

Much worse
Plus, the burning feeling can be solved with water.

Just like your hateful words disguised as love
They leave a burning feeling in my throat

That proves that they were said before
Even after they dissolve into nothing.

And instead, I curl up in the covers
