There has still never been a death penalty for stealing. Especially not a TEENAGER stealing. I saw some cashiers apprehend a shoplifter with my own eyes. They ran after the man, caught him, took back the items he stole, and presumably called the police. And that was a grown ass man, not a teenager. THAT'S self-defense, THIS was a shopowner trying to play vigilante all because he looked at a 14 year old and assumed he was going to steal.
